Exclusive: PBS, Virginia Public Media order hidden treasure series from MYE

Michael Yudin’s New York-based prodco MY Entertainment (MYE) has been commissioned to produce Legacy List with Matt Paxton for Virginia Public Media and PBS member station WCVE.The show — described in a release as “Antiques Roadshow meets History Detectives” — will see a team of expert collectors and advisers, including Mike Kelleher, walking viewers through the sometimes priceless items that can be found in your parents’ basement, attic, closet or even under their floorboards.Legacy List will be produced in partnership with Shipyard Entertainment and distributed by American Public Television (APT) to over 80% of the U.S. TV market via over 270 public-television stations.Matt Paxton serves as host after nine seasons fronting A&E’s hit format Hoarders.“MYE continues to look for new business models and relationships to help it succeed in the new-media environment — and we’ve found the perfect partner in WCVE, which not only has a clear vision of the future of public broadcasting, but is well on the way to realizing it,” said MYE founder and CEO Yudin in a statement.“As one of the few U.S. producers that’s as embedded in the international market as we are in our home territory, all our instincts tell us that Legacy List with Matt Paxton has the makings of a worldwide hit.
