UKTV Turns to US Indie MY Entertainment to Hunt Ghosts

UKTV’s Really has acquired a 12-part paranormal series from US indie My Entertainment. The pay-TV broadcaster has picked up Help! My House Is Haunted, a format created by the host of US show Ghost Adventures, Zak Bagans which also airs on Really.It is UKTV’s latest paranormal order following last year’s stripped event Celebrity Haunted Hotel Live, produced by North One Television.New York-based indie My Entertainment, set up by former NBC exec Michael Yudin, has partnered with Brighton-based producer Back2Back to produce the 12 x 60-minute series.The show features investigators Chris Fleming, Sandy Landar and Barri Ghai, who look into incidences of paranormal activity reported by home owners. In each episode, families present a case file to the experts who then research historical evidence of hauntings.Help! My House Is Haunted was bought by Really general manager Luke Hales and Emma Sparks, UKTV’s acquisitions and co-production manager. It will be exec produced Yudin, Bagans and Back2Back’s David Notman-Watt. Sparks said: “Our viewers love Zak so we’re thrilled to have another Zak Bagans show exclusive to Really.“My Entertainment are leaders in the paranormal genre so we know we’ll have a hit series and it’s great that the team will be coming over to the UK to investigate the paranormal activity in our family homes.”
